Saint John residents will gather to remember those killed in this week’s plane crash in Iran.
A special vigil will be held in front of Saint John City Hall beginning at 6 p.m. Friday.
Flags across the city have also been lowered as a symbol of respect for the victims.
“As Canadians we come together at tragic times, to support, grieve and try to make some sense of such difficult news,” said Saint John Mayor Don Darling in a tweet.
The city said everyone is invited and welcomed to attend the vigil.
As Canadians we come together at tragic times, to support, grieve and try to make some sense of such difficult news. We're learning story by story of the connections of those lost on flight PS752 in Iran, and so many families here at home. We @cityofsaintjohn send our condolences

At least 63 Canadians were among the 176 passengers killed in Wednesday’s crash.
On Thursday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said they have evidence to suggest Iran may have unintentionally shot down the plane with a surface-to-air missile.
