The provincial government is looking for input into what the public thinks new child welfare legislation should look like in New Brunswick.
Social Development Minister Dorothy Shepard says input from New Brunswickers will help to build strong legislation to improve the child welfare system.
A discussion paper and online survey will be open for feedback until Feb. 28. Submissions will be compiled by the department for use in developing the legislation.
The government is beginning its process to update legislation that is aimed at protecting children and promoting healthy families.
