Premier Blaine Higgs has said he will call the dates for byelections needed to fill two vacant seats sometime in March.
One seat is for former premier Brian Gallant and the other was left vacant following the death of Greg Thompson.
In Saint Croix, the PCs have declared Kathy Bockus as their candidate. The People’s Alliance of New Brunswick also has its candidate, Rod Cumberland.
Former MP for the area, Karen Ludwig, says she will seek the Liberal nomination.
The Greens and the NDP have not yet named any candidates.
