The City of Saint John says its first overnight snow removal parking ban had good compliance, but some people did not heed the call to get their vehicle off the street.
The ban for the north, east and west parts of the city meant vehicles could not park on the street between midnight and 7 a.m.
The city says they had to issue 64 tickets and 36 vehicles ended up in the impound after being towed at the owner’s expense.
The city says it will continue to enforce parking ban rules to ensure safe and efficient removal of snow after storms during the winter months.
