Many drivers failed to follow Monday night’s parking ban in the South/Central Peninsula.
In a statement, the city said a total of 76 tickets were issued and 46 vehicles were towed.
“While there was some compliance, and we thank residents for that, there were some issues with vehicles that remained parked on the road,” said the city.
The ban came one night after an overnight parking ban in the north, east and west areas of the city.
In that case, city officials said they issued 64 tickets and towed 36 vehicles.
“To ensure safe and efficient snow clearing operations that will help keep our city streets accessible, parking ban enforcement will continue as the winter progresses and more bans are called. Vehicle owners have a responsibility to secure off-street parking and to seek information on when parking bans are declared,” said the city.
