A man is facing several charges after a weekend incident in Saint John’s north end.
It all started just before 11 a.m. Sunday when police saw two men arguing on First Street.
“One of the men was believed to have a weapon,” said police in a news release.
As officers approached the scene, police said a vehicle fled the area and headed eastbound on Highway 1.
They said the driver later abandoned the vehicle near the Rothesay Avenue exit and fled on foot.
“A short time later, the driver of the vehicle was located and taken into custody,” said police.
A man in his 30s is facing charges of possession of a weapon, dangerous driving, and failure to stop. He will make a court appearance on Monday.
Police said there are no reports of any injuries.
