New Brunswickers are being asked for their input on the province’s upcoming budget.
Finance Minister Ernie Steeves says this pre-budget consultation process allows residents to give their thoughts on how the province should spend its money.
“Everyone is invited to share their views on the issues and opportunities facing our province and on how best to address them,” said Steeves in a release.
“As we consider the 2020-21 budget, we want to hear your thoughts on how best to achieve our goal of balancing our finances, addressing today’s needs, and building a better future.”
A consultation document with context on the province’s challenges and its current financial situation is available online.
The document also outlines the province’s top six priorities and asks questions around health care, education, and the private sector.
You’ll have until February 25th to provide your comments either via email or on an online survey.
A Facebook Live event will also be held on February 18th.
The province presents its 2020-21 budget on March 10th.
