Four New Brunswick employers and seven Nova Scotia employers have been named among Forbes’ list of Canada’s Best Employers for 2020.
Saint John-based Wyndham Destinations ranked 56th on the list of 300. The University of New Brunswick placed 108th and the city of Fredericton placed not far behind at 112th. The Government of New Brunswick also made the list in the 150th spot.
For the survey, Forbes partnered with market research company Statista to identify the companies liked best by employees in our annual ranking of Canada’s best employers. The list was compiled by surveying 8,000 Canadians working for businesses with at least 500 employees.
All the surveys were anonymous, allowing participants to openly share their opinions. The respondents were asked to rate, on a scale of zero to 10, how likely they’d be to recommend their employer to others. Statista then asked respondents to nominate organizations other than their own. The final list ranks the 300 employers that received the most recommendations.
Several Nova Scotia companies also made the list. The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation placed 43rd, with Dartmouth-based Jazz Aviation coming in at 45. The Nova Scotia Community College came in 96th and Maritime Travel came in 183rd. IWK Healthcare placed 208th, followed by Northwood Group that placed in 211th spot. Eastlink Telecommunications placed 274th.
