Monday is the last day to submit expressions of interest to buy or lease one of two regional facilities in Saint John.
In January, city officials announced they are seeking private operators for TD Station and the Canada Games Aquatic Centre.
It comes as the cash-strapped city reviews operations at some of its facilities in an effort to reduce its overall financial commitments.
Finding a private operator for the facilities was one of the initiatives presented to Common Council last year as it seeks to solve the city’s fiscal challenges.
“Deliberations and a decision to proceed with any interested party will only be made once options are explored and city staff report to Common Council with a business case,” said Mayor Don Darling in a news release.
Expressions of interest were originally due on Feb. 14 for TD Station and Feb. 21 for the aquatic centre, but city staff extended the deadlines.
Interviews with potential proponents will take place between Feb. 25 and March 5.
