About $20,000 worth of unauthorized items were seized as an inmate attempted to bring them into the Atlantic Institution in Renous.
Correctional Service officers and police made the seizure earlier in February.
Items included 40 grams of tobacco, 1,000 hydromorphone beads and 41 grams of shatter.
The Correctional Service of Canada works in partnership with police to take action against those who attempt to bring prohibited items into the institutions.
