Eight people have made the final list of approved applicants for the Conservative leadership election.
They include Ontario MP Erin O’Toole, and former justice minister and Nova Scotia MP Peter MacKay.
All eight have submitted at least $25,000 of the $200,000 registration fee and 1,000 of the 3,000 membership signatures.
All applicants have until March 25 to submit the full requirements, which also includes a $100,000 compliance deposit, in order to appear on the leadership ballot.
Other applicants include Marilyn Gladu, Rudy Husny, Jim Karahalios, Leslyn Lewis, Rick Peterson, and Derek Sloan.
The Conservative Party of Canada will elect its next leader on June 27.
