Fredericton’s Nicole Smith is the chef de mission for Team New Brunswick for the 2021 Canada Summer Games next August in Niagara, Ontario.
Smith has been involved in sports in the province for more than 20 years working with Sport NB, as a coach and official and serving on the boards of Coach NB and Canadian Women in Sport.
As chef de mission, she will provide leadership and vision to Team New Brunswick and serve as the team spokesperson.
“I am very thrilled to once again be provided the opportunity to lead our Team New Brunswick delegation,” said Smith. “I intend to work actively with all members of the team to give each one of them the opportunity to experience a positive sport development experience.”
A call for applications for the 2021 Canada Games mission staff will be made this spring.
