We had a taste of spring recently in New Brunswick when several consecutive days had above freezing temperatures. But when can we expect the real season to arrive?
The Weather Network has unveiled its spring forecast for the months of March, April and May.
Meteorologist Doug Gilham says the season is often notoriously late in the province.
“I think everybody knows March can still be a wintry month. So there will be reminders that we are still in late winter during March. But overall as we look at the spring months, we think temperatures will be pretty close to be where they should be,” he notes.
Gilham adds more rainfall than normal can be expected since systems will be drawing moisture from the Atlantic Ocean which is still running a few degrees above normal.
