Clothing and footwear retailer Mark’s is opening up in its new home inside McAllister Place on Friday morning.
The east side store is moving from its longtime location on McAllister Drive.
The former location closed last weekend in preparation for the move into the mall where the new Mark’s will take up some of the space previously occupied by Sears.
Up to five additional staff members have been added to the new store and more people may be hired in the future.
In December, Huddle Today reported the Brick was hiring for stores in Saint John and Fredericton.
About 100,000 square feet of retail space in the old Sears was redeveloped to accommodate several large-format retailers.
The reconfigured space will also include a new common area inside the mall.
