At least three New Brunswick malls are reducing their hours to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
McAllister Place in Saint John and Regent Mall in Fredericton, which are both operated by Primaris, made similar announcements Saturday.
Starting on Monday, both malls will be open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. until further notice.
“The safety and well-being of our guests, tenants, employees and contractors is of the utmost importance to Primaris,” said the company.
“We continue to monitor this situation very closely.”
CF Champlain in Dieppe also announced Saturday it will reduce its hours for at least two weeks starting on Monday.
The new operating hours will be from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
Earlier in the week, McAllister Place and Regent Mall removed food court trays and high chairs, and suspended the use of mall-owned strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and shopping caddies until further notice.
Special events which result in large gatherings were also suspended, including visits by the Easter Bunny.
