Starbucks Canada and Tim Horton’s are making changes as part of a national effort to contain COVID-19.
Starbucks is moving to a to-go model and removed the seating from its stores on Sunday.
Company operated stores in locations like malls, colleges and universities will be temporarily closed.
In accordance with social distancing guidance from the CDC and public health authorities, we are temporarily closing stores in some locations, and moving the majority of our company-operated stores to a "to go" model across the U.S. and Canada. https://t.co/Ys88ZoF1eb

Restaurant Brands International, the company which operates Tim Hortons, says it’s closing all dining room seating effective Tuesday.
The company says restaurant owners will instead focus on take-out and drive-thru only.
To contribute to social distancing that has been called for by public health officials, starting tmrw, our restaurants will focus on take-out, drive-thru and delivery service where available, and close all dining room seating until further notice.
