Nova Scotia RCMP say they have taken a suspect into custody in relation to an active shooting investigation Sunday morning.
51-year-old Gabriel Wortman was arrested as the primary suspect in the shooting, which took place in the rural community of Portapique, west of Truro.
A statement from police Sunday morning said there were several victims.

RCMP had been looking for a silver Chevrolet Tracker travelling southbound on Highway 102.
The vehicle was last spotted in the Milford area.
Police initially responded to a call of a firearm complaint on Sunday morning.

A previous release from Nova Scotia RCMP indicated Wortman was driving a vehicle similar to an RCMP vehicle and could be be wearing an RCMP uniform.
