You have one last chance to visit the Cherry Brook Zoo before its doors close for good.
The Saint John zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily until Sunday, May 31. Admission is by donation.
In order to ensure physical distancing, all paths are one-way only in a clockwise direction and staff suggest wearing facial coverings.
Visitors are asked not to touch the animal fencing and barriers as they will not be sanitized.
The reptile house, duck pond and vanished kingdom park will remain closed, along with the washrooms.
Cherry Brook Zoo announced its closure in April due to what it described as “severe financial pressures” caused by COVID-19. The zoo would have celebrated 46 years in operation this summer.
Staff are working with Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums (CAZA) to find new homes for the animals.
