Most of New Brunswick will be in for hot temperatures and high humidity over the next three days.
The Department of Health has issued a heat alert for nearly the entire province, except the Fundy coast.
Temperatures are forecast to reach the low 30s in some areas with humidex values in the mid to high 30s.
Health officials say certain vulnerable people may be affected, including those with pre-existing respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
More seasonable temperatures are expected to return for the weekend.
