New Brunswick Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 for the first time in a week.
The number of active cases remains at 12 and all are in the Campbellton region, Zone 5.
Four patients are in hospital and one remains in intensive care.
The four most recent cases are linked to Manoir de la Vallée, a long-term care home in the region.
All remaining residents on two separate wards have been tested for COVID-19 and the results came back negative.
“We are all in this together,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, chief medical officer of health. “With almost 300 people self-isolating, everyone, including those who recently tested as negative, needs to watch themselves for symptoms over the next 14-day incubation period.”
More than 2,000 tests were processed on Sunday which is the highest number for a single day since the pandemic began.
