A marquee event in Digby that caters to motorcycle enthusiasts has been postponed.
The 2020 edition of the Wharf Rat Rally won’t be going ahead due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Organizers say that they’re working to make some of the rally’s more popular activities work despite the postponement, including an online 50/50 draw and new merchandise.
Organizers say any other activities rolled out will adhere to the health regulations set by the Province and the Town of Digby.
Board Chair Rickey Stewart says it’ll be strange not to see the town filled with crowds and motorcycles on the Labour Day weekend for the first time in 16 years, but they’re looking toward refreshing and redeveloping the event for 2021.
