There could be some closures on the horizon for Starbucks locations in Canada.
A letter to shareholders Wednesday shared with investors says the company plans to restructure over the next two years.
Company officials tell our newsroom they “do not have any further guidance on the number of stores closing at this time, or which locations they will be.”
That official goes on to say there is a potential for up to 200 stores to close.
The shareholder letter noted prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, approximately 80 per cent of Starbucks transactions in U.S. company-operated stores were “on-the-go” occasions.
