New Brunswick has one new case of COVID-19 in Zone 5, the Campbellton region.
Public Health says the new case is someone in their 40’s who is an employee at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
The province has 28 active cases of the virus and all are from the outbreak in Zone 5 except for one case in the Moncton region.
Three individuals in Zone 5 have recovered and one man has died in that region.
Five patients are in hospital with one in intensive care.
“When outbreaks occur, it reminds us that we need to continue our efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” said Dr. Jennifer Russell, chief medical officer of health.
“We need to maintain physical distancing and practice good hygiene everywhere we go to avoid new outbreaks. We can be kind and continue to support each other through this pandemic.”
As of today, 36,125 tests have been conducted in the province.
