A man has died after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 2 in Dumfries.
On Thursday before noon, police responded to a collision of a transport truck and a construction safety truck.
RCMP believe the collision happened when the transport truck collided with the safety truck as it was parked along the side of the highway.
The transport truck was damaged and then caught fire. The driver died at the scene.
The safety truck driver was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
