New Brunswick Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today.
The number of active cases remains at 27 and there have been two deaths.
Chief medical officer of health Dr. Jennifer Russell says it’s important to continue following public health guidelines such as physical distancing.
“I think as we socialize, the instinct is still to want to hug people and again we have to think about who we want to have close contact with in terms of the number of people that we interact with,” says Dr. Russell.
Two patients are in hospital with COVID-19 with one in intensive care.
In the Zone 5 (Campbellton region) outbreak, 14 individuals have recovered.
As of today, 40,663 tests have been conducted.
All areas of New Brunswick except Zone 5 are currently in the Yellow level of the COVID-19 recovery plan.
Zone 5 remains at the Orange level and public health officials say that could be reassessed later this week.
