The Horizon Health Network has announced new visitor guidelines for its facilities.
Patients can now have one visitor at a time from 2 to 8 p.m. daily.
Visits are limited to one hour and visitors must be at least 12 years old.
All visitors will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms and must wear a community mask and maintain physical distancing.
There are some exceptions and restrictions in place for certain patients:
- Critical care, intensive care and neonatal intensive care patients may have one visitor at a time, and visitors are limited to close family members only. The length of these visits is determined by the unit staff based on unit activity.
- Palliative care patients may have two visitors at a time and visiting hours may be adjusted for these patients. Palliative care patients receiving end-of-life care may also have one additional visitor (pastoral/spiritual care) to provide comfort to the patient, family and loved ones during the end-of-life period.
- Patients visiting emergency departments and ambulatory care who require assistance may have one support person only. No other visitors permitted. Pediatric patients may have one support person (parent or caregiver only).
New visitor guidelines are now in place at Horizon facilities. Visits can occur between 2 and 8 p.m. daily, and patients will be able to welcome ONE healthy visitor at a time. Exceptions may be made if the visitor requires a support person (a second visitor may be permitted). pic.twitter.com/6R4j8wUt6d
