All of New Brunswick is now in the Yellow level of pandemic recovery, including the Campbellton region Zone 5, and all remaining businesses are now permitted to reopen.
Businesses must ensure appropriate physical distancing and sanitizing and follow guidelines from Public Health and WorkSafe NB.
Premier Blaine Higgs has cited a survey from the Canadian Federation of Independent Business which shows 70 percent of businesses in the province have already reopened which is higher than the rest of Canada.
“Our economy is already making great progress on reopening. With all New Brunswick businesses permitted to open (today) with safety measures in place, we will continue to take steps in the right direction,” he said.
The CFIB survey also showed 29 percent of businesses say they are at or above their normal revenues right now which is also higher than other provinces.
Meantime, Public Health is reporting no new cases of COVID-19 today.
The number of active cases is now 13 and two individuals have died.
Two patients are in hospital with one in intensive care.
In the Campbellton region outbreak, 29 individuals have now recovered.
