Public Health announced Sunday that New Brunswick has now gone five days without confirming a new case of COVID-19.
An additional four cases have been resolved, leaving just five active cases in the province.
Two patients remain in the hospital, and one is in the ICU.
The province has had 165 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began. 158 cases have since recovered, and two patients have died.
Anyone exhibiting any symptom is encouraged to contact 8-1-1 for testing.
According to the province’s Coronavirus page, symptoms of COVID-19 include:
- Fever above 38 degrees Celsius
- A new cough, or worsening chronic cough
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Headache
- A new onset of fatigue
- A new onset of muscle pain
- Diarrhea
- Loss of sense of taste
- Loss of sense of smell
- In children, purple markings on the fingers and toes
- Difficulty breathing
