Canadian seniors can expect to see a little more money in their bank accounts this week.
Those eligible will receive a one-time tax-free payment to help offset the high cost of food and services caused by the pandemic.
The federal government announced the funding assistance in June.
Seniors receiving Old Age Security will get an extra $300 and an extra $200 if they also collect the Guaranteed Income Supplement.
Those who receive allowance payments get $500.
