A nurse who worked at the Moncton Hospital will not be facing charges for allegedly administering a labour-inducing drug to mothers without their consent.
Codiac RCMP Sergeant Mathieu Roy has confirmed no charges will be laid after a thorough investigation and he says the file is now complete.
The affected mothers are being contacted.
In April 2019, two law firms launched a class-action lawsuit on behalf of affected mothers against the Horizon Health Network and a nurse who was identified as Nicole Ruest.
Horizon Health fired the labour and delivery nurse in March 2019 after it determined at least two women were given oxytocin causing emergency C-sections.
Horizon President and CEO Karen McGrath says no further comments will be made given the related matters before the courts.
