On Thursday, July 9th, Country 94 had the chance to check out our local aquatic driving range and what a PERFECT day for it! When we arrived, Jim gave us the basics and set us up in our spots.
Krista won’t be going on tour anytime soon but MAN you should have seen Dennis hitting those balls. Quite a workout too — which surprised us all.
Staff is so friendly and there’s a comraderie between those playing – young and young-at-heart, the place was hopping when we were there. Will definitely be back!
The Range at Rockwood is open all summer long 7 days a week from 11 am until 8:30 in the evening. Jim tells me the first 2 HOURS each morning are spent combing the lake for the golf balls. Depending on the way the wind is blowing and if the balls all come to one side of the lake, it could be less. But out on the boat they go and scoop ’em up to be ready for your golfing pleasure again.
You can get yourself a small bucket – approx 35 balls – for only $5.95 or go big with the large bucket – approx 70 balls – $9.95. A bucket of balls, a good friend or two, gorgeous weather, a picturesque spot? A cold beverage? Now that’s one heckuva bargain!
