New Brunswick health officials announced one new case of COVID-19 on Tuesday.
Public Health said the new case, which was confirmed Monday, is a person in their 20s in the Moncton region.
“It is a case related to travel outside the Atlantic bubble and the individual is self-isolating,” said Public Health in a news release.
Dr. Jennifer Russell, the province’s chief medical officer of health, said each new case is a reminder the virus can present itself at any time.
“We must always be aware of our surroundings and take precautions to protect ourselves and others, so that New Brunswick can continue to remain in the Yellow level of recovery,” said Russell in the release.
There are now two active cases in the province, but no one is in the hospital.
Meanwhile, Nova Scotia has now gone six days without a new case. There is one active case in that province.
