A mainstay in the Brunswick Square food court is closing for good.
Deluxe French Fries will not reopen as the owners decided not to renew their lease when it expires at the end of this month.
Nicole Hurley of Mac’s Foods Limited, parent company for the Saint John-area location, said the Brunswick Square eatery was open for thirty years.
Five employees have been offered positions at one of the regional locations.
Hurley says most of their workers who were laid off because of COVID-19 and wanted to come back have but they have also hired some new staff.
The restaurant dining rooms will stay closed in favour of the takeout windows added during the pandemic so stand-alone locations could stay open.
