The federal government is raising the Canada Child Benefit once again, as part of it’s commitment to improving the lives of hard-working middle-class families.
Families, Children and Social Development Minister Ahmed Hussen says this is to help families keep pace with the cost of living.
This is on top of the one-time additional $300 recipients received this spring as part of the government’s response to COVID-19.
The maximum benefit will now be $6,765 per child under age six and $5,708 per child age six through 17.
