The death of a 29-year-old man near Oromocto is being investigated as a homicide.
Members of the RCMP responded to a report of a home invasion at a residence in Waasis on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a 29-year-old man and an autopsy has since been conducted.
The name of the victim and the cause of death are not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
Police believe this was an isolated incident and continue to work diligently to determine what happened and who is responsible.
