Canada’s chief public health officer is worried about the growing number of COVID-19 cases in Ontario and parts of the West.
Dr. Theresa Tam says daily cases have been rising and this is something we must keep a very close eye on.
She’s concerned about a long weekend coming and those who don’t follow pandemic guidelines.
“Have giant parties or crowds or not observing physical distancing or masking or hand hygiene…all of those things… when you’re in certain environments then you are going to see this uptick,” notes Dr. Tam.
She adds the fate of flattening the curve lies in the hands of Canadians and how closely they follow public health measures.
