New Brunswick health officials have issued an advisory after someone who travelled to the province later tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement Friday evening, the province said an out-of-province individual travelled on Air Canada flight AC-8903 from Moncton to Montreal on July 27.
“The person arrived from Montreal the day before and spent one day in Moncton,” said the province.
The person, who was asymptomatic at the time, tested positive for COVID-19 on July 29, according to officials.
“A risk assessment has been conducted by regional Public Health and it has been determined the risk to the public is extremely low,” said the statement.
The province said it was notified about the infected traveller on Friday.
