The Horizon Health Network is conducting a study on how COVID-19 has affected families.
Sarah Campbell is the research manager for the New Brunswick Social Pediatrics Research Program.
She said the study has questions about how families experienced the pandemic.
“People’s finances have been affected, their employment has been affected, the way our children are being educated is going to be impacted moving forward. The more we can understand about how these impacts are affecting people. I guess just the better informed we can be about making decisions,” Campbell said.
The survey is focused on March and April.
“What we are looking at is really trying to figure out what it was like for those first few months. Most of the questions are looking at when we were in the red phase of the pandemic when everyone was shut down in their homes and quarantined,” Campbell said.
Anyone who completes the study will automatically get follow-up surveys for a total of four over two years.
Information gathered will be presented to the government and the community for future use.
