Some natural gas customers in New Brunswick could see their rates drop in the new year.
Liberty Utilities has submitted an application the New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board.
The proposal would see commercial rates fall between 2.6 and 4.3 per cent, depending on their rate class.
Residential customers would also see their bills fall by around 1.9 per cent, a savings of around $31 for the year.
The new rates must still be approved by the NBEUB.
Liberty Utilities serves 12,000 customers in southern New Brunswick, including Dieppe, Fredericton, Moncton, Oromocto, Riverview, Sackville, Saint John, St. George and St. Stephen.
