A Saint John-based health and fitness franchise is getting support from the federal government to help it grow.
Simply for Life will receive a $500,000 loan and a $50,000 non-repayable contribution through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
The money will allow the company to expand its premises and establish an industrial food service operation. It will also be used to engage human resources consulting services
Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long said the food sector is an essential industry in Atlantic Canada.
“This support from the federal government will help Simply for Life innovate and expand to new markets to sustain and invigorate this vital sector, which will support local economies and help the wider industry compete globally,” said Long in a news release.
Simply for Life plans to move into its new 18,000 square-foot headquarters on Rothesay Avenue this fall.
