A 38-year-old man from Oromocto has been sentenced to two years in prison for charges relating to child pornography.
RCMP say Matthieu Gagnon has been added to the National Sex Offender Registry for life and will be required to submit a DNA sample.
The Internet Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation in February last year which resulted in a search warrant and several devices seized.
Once Gagnon is released from prison, he must abide by conditions set out by the court for a period of five years which includes not being near children.
Gagnon was sentenced for transmitting child pornography and one year for possession of child pornography.
