The New Brunswick NDP leader was in Saint John Monday, emphasizing the importance of workers and unions.
Mackenzie Thomason was joined by supporters and local candidates to deliver his message in front of St. Joseph’s Hospital Monday afternoon.
The NDP platform consists of a promise to raise the provincial minimum wage to $15 per hour, and calls for anti-scab legislation.
Thomason criticized the Liberals and Conservatives for what he called a poor job of maintaining labour relations in the province.
Brien Watson, CUPE NB President, spoke before the NDP leader and said the party stands for many of the same values as CUPE NB.
