The People’s Alliance of New Brunswick leader used his Labour Day announcement to appeal to small business owners.
At a campaign stop in Hartland, Kris Austin praised the province’s small business operators.
If the PANB formed office, Austin promised to “end corporate welfare,” end hand-outs to large corporations, and eliminate the small business tax.
He specifically singled out tourist operators as an industry that is struggling due to COVID-19, but could be “the key to bringing economic stability back to New Brunswick. “
The party leader said it’s small businesses that have struggled in the province, while corporations enjoy tax breaks.
