A new poll finds the Progressive Conservatives hold a strong lead with the provincial election days away.
The survey by MQO Research finds 43 per cent of decided voters support the Progressive Conservatives, an increase of six per centage points from February.
Support for the Liberals fell by four percentage points over the same time period to 27 per cent, according to the survey.
Seventeen per cent of voters chose the Green Party, the NDP has six per cent support and the People’s Alliance has five per cent support.
The number of undecided voters fell by five percentage points to 26 per cent.
The PCs have strong support in the cities of Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John while the Liberals are polling better in rural areas.
Four-hundred New Brunswickers were polled between August 12th and September 2nd. The margin of error for the total sample is ± 5.6 percentage points 19 times out of 20.
