A university student in Wolfville is the latest recipient of a $1,000 fine for failing to self-isolate.
Per Nova Scotia’s Health Protection Act, all students entering the province from outside the Atlantic travel bubble are required to self-isolate for 14 days.
The student was reported to Nova Scotia RCMP on Thursday.
That is just one of the requirements for those entering the province during the pandemic, but it is the guideline that has led to multiple students being fined.
This is the sixth instance of a fine being reported by Nova Scotia RCMP since August 25.
