Travel is now restricted to one of two regions in Quebec which had been included with New Brunswick in the Atlantic Bubble.
Day trips are no longer permitted to Temiscouata Regional County bordering Edmundston.
Essential trips such as work or medical appointments are still allowed.
Premier Blaine Higgs says the rise in COVID-19 cases in Quebec has prompted this change.
Avignon Regional County which borders Campbellton is not impacted by the travel restrictions.
Higgs said this decision was made by the cabinet and the COVID-19 all-party cabinet committee.
The two Quebec regions were included in the travel bubble in late July.
Meantime, Public Health says there are no new COVID-19 cases in New Brunswick today but three active cases remain.
No other new cases have been reported in the Atlantic Bubble.
