A 24-year-old Shediac man has died after his vehicle left the highway and landed in the water in Grand-Barachois.
Members of the Southeast District RCMP responded to the incident on Saturday, just after 9 p.m.
Staff Sergeant Andre Pepin says the driver and lone occupant of the vehicle died at the scene.
He says the vehicle was travelling westbound on Highway 15 near the Cormier Village exit before ending up in the water.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and say speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.
