The next interim leader of New Brunswick’s Liberal party is expected to be announced on Monday.
Party officials say the new interim leader will hold a news conference in Fredericton at 11:30 a.m.
It comes two weeks to the day after the Progressive Conservatives won a majority government in the Sept. 14 election.
Former leader Kevin Vickers stepped down that same night, saying he takes full responsibility for the results.
The Liberals won just 17 of the province’s 49 seats in the legislature, four fewer than in the 2018 election.
Vickers, a former House of Commons sergeant-at-arms, was acclaimed as Liberal leader in April of last year.
