There were several new faces named to the PC cabinet.
Six MLAs lost their roles, including former Aboriginal Affairs Minister Jake Stewart.
Premier Blaine Higgs and Stewart recently disagreed on whether an independent inquiry into the deaths of two Indigenous people in New Brunswick needed to be held.
In a news release posted to social media, Stewart stated, “Those who question the basis for the system in an effort to improve it, often get the harshest retribution from it.”
He added that he has always followed his conscience and that is the only validation he required from his work in that regard.
