Female entrepreneurs have an opportunity to take their business ideas to the next level.
If you’re looking to start your own business or expand an existing one into new markets, Women In Business NB wants to hear from you!
Director Katherine Lanteigne says they are accepting applications a new virtual start-up competition.
“This really opens up the doors to anyone that really wants to participate and they can do it from the comfort of their own home. So it doesn’t matter if you’re in St Stephen, Edmundston, Campbellton, as long as you have a computer and you’re able to log in that’s all we need,” she says.
15 teams will be selected to take part in a series of workshops and a chance at winning the 2 thousand dollar top prize.
“We’re also going to make sure we provide them with workshops so that whether if they win or not the big prize, they’ll have all the tools to have the confidence to start their business afterwards,” Lanteigne says.
Post-secondary students are also encouraged to apply and have the chance to win 500 dollars.
She says the competition is open to men as well but teams have to be majority female.
Applications are being accepted until October 9th. More information can be found here.
